CEO

Sam Cande is the founder and CEO of Responsible Futures an organisation committed to educating, inspiring and guiding businesses and individuals to become more sustainable and socially responsible through training, consulting & content-led webinars. Sam is also the founder of Sustain Talks podcast.

Sam spent over 20 years as an event & commercial director managing large international B2B conferences and exhibitions and has a true passion for sustainability and CSR and previously worked as director for Sustain Magazine over 10 years ago and enjoyed a position as Chair of The Business Travel Association Sustainable Committee.

Muryel Boulay

Associate

With 20 years of experience in the food industry, Muryel Boulay has established herself as a seasoned professional with UK Household Food brands. As the Founder and CEO of B Other Wise Ltd, she is committed to driving sustainable practices within the business realm. Muryel is an Associate of Responsible Futures, SCALA, and Aria Grace Law Partner, bringing a wealth of expertise to her roles as a Trainer and Assessor to CSR Accreditation. She is a Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) alumna, a B Leader trained by B Corp UK to guide towards B Corp certification, and a Future-Fit Foundation Certified Advisor. Additionally, Muryel is a dedicated member of the Association of Sustainable Practitioners, further demonstrating her commitment to promoting sustainability in various sectors.

Gavin Lendon
Associate

With 25 years of experience in the City, Gavin Lendon brings extensive expertise to his role as a qualified Chartered Accountant. He is also Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) qualified and serves as the Westminster Business Council Property and Construction ESG Lead. Since 2018, Gavin has been a dedicated sustainability professional, focusing on carbon reporting, including footprint calculation and SBTi, as well as sustainable strategy, biodiversity, and ESG reporting. His diverse background and commitment to sustainability make him a valuable asset in driving positive change in the business world.

Neil Russell-Bates
Associate

With over 30 years of commercial experience in the Blue Chip FMCG sector, Neil Russell-Bates brings a wealth of knowledge to his role as the Owner of Hilltop Sustainability, a company established in 2016. As a Co-founder of the Sustainists Consulting Alliance, he is dedicated to driving sustainable practices forward. His qualifications include being Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership qualified and SECR professional certified by EMA, ensuring that he is equipped with the expertise needed to make a meaningful impact in the field of sustainability.
