Responsible Futures provides a variety of sustainability and social responsibility training courses, available in-person or online via livestream or pre-recorded sessions. All of our training content is customised to suit the industry and business needs of our clients.

IN-PERSON COURSE

Our in-person course is built around four core modules:

SUSTAINABILITY OVERVIEW

Our Sustainability Overview course introduces the essentials of sustainability. Start with a group exercise to reflect on sustainability’s personal significance, then explore its core themes: people, planet, and economy. Learn about the role of fair society, health, and climate action in shaping a sustainable future.

Discover why sustainability is crucial and how it can help businesses manage risk. This course offers valuable insights into the benefits of sustainability for organizations.

SUSTAINABILITY FOR YOUR SECTOR

The Sustainability For Your Sector course explores the unique sustainability challenges and opportunities in your industry. You’ll learn how customer demands are evolving and understand the impact your sector has on people and the planet. Key topics include human rights, labour laws, and the social value of community engagement, as well as supply chain sustainability and its role in local economies.

Environmental concerns like energy and water consumption, waste management, and carbon footprints are also discussed. Through a group exercise, you’ll explore what sustainability means for your business and how it can drive positive change.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

The Community Engagement & Supply Chain Management course is designed to help you build strong connections with stakeholders and manage your supply chain ethically. You’ll learn how to engage with your community through activities that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), making your business an employer of choice. A group exercise lets you map your position within your local and industry communities.

The course also covers supply chain management, including supplier screening and codes of conduct, focusing on ethical business practices and anti-corruption measures. You’ll explore charity engagement strategies and how employee volunteering can boost your impact. This course also discusses effective advocacy activities and communication methods.

SUSTAINABILITY REGULATIONS & ACCREDITATIONS

The Sustainability Regulations & Accreditations course explores key legislation and accreditation frameworks that impact sustainability. You’ll start with a group exercise to gauge the level of awareness among participants. Then, delve into UK sustainability legislation, covering environmental laws, mandatory reporting requirements, and ethical marketing practices.

You’ll also learn about voluntary actions, such as impact reports and ISO certifications, and how these can boost your sustainability profile. The course concludes with a group exercise to create a sustainability project for your business.
