Review
Many organisations are unclear where to start or feel like they need a fresh experienced pair of eyes when thinking about their sustainability and ESG strategies.
The Review is the perfect place to start, it is focused on understanding at a high level your current practices. After this review we issue recommendations to drive your sustainability/ESG efforts further.
Audit
Frequently the next step for organisations is that indepth Audit takes place. This allows us to fully understand your business so that we can prioritise the implementation programme.
Typically, a sustainability Audit covers social, environmental, economic and governance.
This Audit should be supported by interviews with the senior management team to ensure all activities are being captured.
Metrics will be collected to support the Audit.
This activity is driven from board level with engagement from key stakeholders throughout the business.
Action Plan
The Action Plan is divided into the ESG categories: Environment, Society, Governance as per the Audit.
Implement
Typical workstreams include:
- Society:
- Community engagement and charity: establish how your business can act as a positive corporate citizen through participation in the local economy, education, employment opportunities
- Your employees, their benefits, personal development, diversity & Inclusion and well being
- Environment:
- Establish a journey to net-zero starting with a Corporate Carbon Footprint
- Define pledges on water, waste, biodiversity and develop and implement the workstreams to meet them
- Carbon emissions reduction and removal projects
- Governance:
- Building the business management system to manage and monitor all ESG efforts (policies, procedures and KPIs)
- Supply Chain: creating partnerships with like-minded businesses through a fair but solid process (code of conduct, due diligence)
Communications
This workstream runs alongside the Audit, Action Plan and Implementation phases and includes both Internal and external communications
An impact report is created to share the business’s commitment and achievements
This workstream enables your business to gain external acknowledgement of your ESG efforts through accreditation
An Internal and External ESG communication plan is developed based on evidence.
Review and Feedback
On completion of previous workstreams we will sit down with you and your key stakeholders and review achievements.
We will look at the information that has been gained from KPIs.
